Evening my fellow workers of the world. I know I was on a kind of good run with like 3 posts right when I launched the site, sorry for falling off haha.
I will address first all the stuff that has happened since the launching of the site and my life recently.
I have had a slow period of work in the respect of volume and content, but I have had the beautiful chance to work on some really cool projects that I hope I can show in the future. I have had a good amount of work load to be able to test my coloring and some pretty cool ways of integrating a more dynamic combination of real footage and animation.
I always have had such a hard attraction to that type of work. From buck, king drippa, Golden Wolf, and the other collection of the worlds coolest people, I love the style and genuine voice that the projects have. There seems to add such a surreal abstraction of accents, movements, elements, and general information that gets presented to the reality of actual life (footage or pictures). In the sense of graphics over images, I like the conversation it has with the two elements, but that relationship in motion is such a complex and resonating experience for myself as a designer. The voice of the idea is just pumped full of the creator or creators image bridged with the viewers personal connections to their own view of reality.
made some business cards, they look clean. I have had such a recent affiliation with the minimal, clean type of design work. It is just such a nice place to explore. basic shapes, raw fundamentals of balance, form, space, and aesthetics.

Also found a nice little gem that I had saved away, while looking through some old favorite drawings that I have use as a resume packet

I was reading some very interesting writing about art in general and its naming history. Art comes from the greek term meaning, skill, method, or process. Although that was interesting the one that got me was the term that we acquired aesthetic from. ‘Perceive’. That fact was something that really gave me a sense of how objective that trends, looks, style, and a personal definition of aesthetics changes per person. Not sure where else that is going, but I really like the idea of individual attraction towards elements of every art.
Makes me think of my own personal cycles of style, medium, genre, and taste. 'Aesthetic’ seemed to always stay the same as the word and its meaning, but I thought it was cool to think of something that is so lateral oppose to linear. no forward or back, but a lateral movement through what was appealling based on the compilation/exposure of visual and conceptual data I had been rifling through in that period. Also the idea of the tipping information that engaged the changes for a noticeable difference in taste. I always saw taste and work as a lateral and consistently progressing force, like a snowball, but it was just cool to see that meaning in a literary definition and how perfect it is for how objective and individual taste/aesthetics are.
taste.
On another note for something that I have been working on the side slowly, I have had a very very strong attraction to anime action and fight scenes. The speed and accents just beat my brain, in the best possible way. I love the style of the movements and actions. The way the middle frames are distorted, the bodies are torqued, twisted, pulled, snapped. I have been making a few exercises, mockups, and a few nice exercises in non outlined colors and fills.
Here is one animation of a samurai without the other fighters that I had been working on. I had appropriated the slice and transition into the kick, and then went my own way with the actual kick, rotation, and sword grab to add some spicceeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

Here is also some fun colors with the computer for the business card, thought it would be fun to mess around with it, considering the vectoring was a nice project to keep some of my skills sharp.
I feel like I have not moved as quick as I have been making work earlier in the month, but the progress I have had in some bigger ideas, bigger moves in my career, and better quality of work has definitely been a result in a better balanced day load.
So on that note, I love you all. Everyone that I have had the wonderful chance to talk to about the website, and all the great criticism that I have gotten is amazing. I am a very blessed person to have so many awesome people, regardless of how close we are, that care for my work and keep me moving.
So.
Get moving.
